After facing each other in a camera comparison, the Galaxy S20 Ultra and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones dueled in a speed test, to see which one has the best performance among the top of the line with Android. The experiment was carried out by the PhoneBuff channel on YouTube.
The used variant of the Samsung phone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset, the same present in the Chinese rival. But there is a difference in the amount of RAM. The South Korean has 16 GB, against 12 GB of the OnePlus unit. Check out the results:
On the first lap, when applications are opened for the first time, OnePlus 8 Pro started at the front and took advantage especially with Microsoft, Word and Excel tools.
But the turn came soon from the video editor Lapse It. The Galaxy S20 Ultra was faster and took the lead in time. The advantage has expanded with games, also run more quickly on the Samsung device. The Korean phone closed the initial phase with 1:47:63, against 1:55:11 of the Chinese competitor.
When running apps in the background, the OnePlus smartphone did better in multitasking and completed the process in 35:29, against 36:17 of the Samsung model – none reopened the app. But the difference was not enough to recover and complete faster.
With the result, the Galaxy S20 Ultra continues as the champion in the speed tests of the PhoneBuff channel.
