Despite being known in the smartphone market and having returned to Brazil, Nokia – HMD Global – has been betting on the Smart TVs segment in India. Apparently, this is a natural path for companies that sell cell phones in the country.
In the last week, several rumors indicated that the company would finally launch a more affordable model. Now, HMD Global has presented its newest Smart TV in India. Featuring a 43-inch LED screen, the new TV has 4K resolution.
The device has a MediaTek processor, GPU Mali 450MP4, 2.25 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. In addition, your operating system is Android TV in its Pie version, something that guarantees access to all apps from the Play Store, Google Assistant and more.
Like the 55-inch model, Nokia was careful to present a device that has a screen with few edges to offer an "infinite" experience. In addition, the TV comes out of the box with Dolby Vision, Dolby Audio and MEMC technologies:
this technology adds extra frames to the video to make it smoother. Thus, movies recorded at 24 fps are converted to 60 fps or even 120 fps videos.
Seeking to offer immersive audio, the new Smart TV from Nokia also reaches the consumer with two 24W speakers and JBL certified for deep bass. Another embedded technology is the DTS TruSurround.
Finally, these are the connections present in the new TV:
WiFi only 2.4 GHz, Bluetooh 5.0 (control uses this connection), 3 HDMI ports, 1 USB 2.0, 1 USB 3.0, TV input and RJ45 port for Ethernet connection.
According to HMD Global, sales of its new TV start on June 8 at retailer Flipkart. The launch price is 31,999 rupees, around R $ 2,144 in direct conversion and without considering Brazilian taxes.
