As we know, Xiaomi has been preparing to launch the line Redmi 9. The devices must be the cheapest in the category to serve the public on a low budget. Recently, a rumor indicated that the devices should come out of the box with a MediaTek processor.
Now, after receiving an important certification, behold, the well-known and trusted Sudhanshu has published a series of details about this year's devices. The first major highlight is that the Redmi 9 family will have three variants: Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C and Redmi 9.
It seems that the Chinese manufacturer's idea is to serve the most diverse audiences. Let's get to know the specifications of each model:
Economy and market
Known as the cheapest in the family, the Redmi 9A has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen and only HD resolution. According to sources, its processor is the unprecedented MediaTek Helio G25, which should work with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
When it comes to cameras, the main one has 13 MP, while the front is only 5 MP. The biggest highlight of the cheap will be its autonomy, since the battery has 5,000 mAh and is recharged through a USB-C port.
Inexpensive also brings support for MicroSD card up to 512 GB, digital reader, P2 input for headphones and infrared.
The Redmi 9C is a rookie within the line of cheap Xiaomi. However, what draws the most attention is that it is not much different from the Redmi 9A. Featuring a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen and also HD resolution, the 9C still uses the same Helio G25.
However, the biggest difference here is the presence of 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The rear also has an extra sensor. Thus, we have 13 MP main camera, 2 MP secondary camera (depth) and 5 MP front sensor.
Finally, the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, uses a USB-C port and the device also has a digital reader. To the delight of many, the device should come out of the box with Android 10 and Xiaomi's proprietary interface.
The Redmi 9 is the flagship device in the line. It has a 6.53 inch LCD screen, but the resolution goes up to FHD. Its processor is the MediaTek Helio G70, which must work together with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
At the rear we will have four cameras: main sensor of 13 MP, ultrawide lens of 8 MP, macro of 5 MP and 2 more for depth effect. The selfies lens keeps the 5 MP of its most basic siblings.
The standard of the Redmi 9 line is the 5,000 mAh battery and USB-C port, something that is repeated on the main device.
For now, Xiaomi has not officially commented on the matter. Anyway, the possible prices of the devices were revealed:
- Redmi 9A- between € 100 (~ R $ 596) and € 120 (~ R $ 715)
- Redmi 9C – between € 130 (~ R $ 775) and € 150 (~ R $ 894)
